Eraclea Mare is amazing, but this apartment should be listed as low-budget accommodation.
The location cannot be better, and the apartment was very clean.
I announced my arrival time twice (3PM), they confirm it, and yet nobody was there, I called, and half of hour later somebody came and told us that he was not sure we will be on time, and didn't want to wait. So instead we waited, after driving 1000 km and with a 3 years old :(.
From the description:
"holiday home has a garden" , "outdoor sitting area", and in Italian "where children can play" - it is not a home, just an apartment, and it does not have a garden! There is indeed an inner yard to the entire house, covered in concrete and full with rusty bicycles and drying racks.
"The air-conditioned accommodation" - the AC is available only in the living room, cannot cope with the heat, and leaks so much water you have to mop the floor every hour.
"We speak your language!" - NO. A very broken English, barely understandable.
What else? Doors that don't close, a stuck blind, the shower leaks; nothing remotely modern in the kitchen, no coffee filter, dishwasher, toaster...; no mosquito nets in the windows, I think it was the only apartment on the whole street without those, and the mosquito didn't care at all about the creams and spray we used against them; nothing textile in the entire house, we had to buy everything from bed sheets to dish cloths.
If you manage to get pass all this, and spend the whole day on the beach, you can still have a good time.
