Paying for car park thats was just a tarmac covered area with a barrier in hotel grounds

Extra cost for parking 20 € a day, extra cost for towels (refundable but a pain to obtain ) 20 € breakfast , pool bar food costs high for very average food

We had such high hopes, after reading many reviews before booking I was unsure about the negative reviews. But quickly realised why they were present. Pros: The hotel is a nice building, it’s clean and is a nice place to be. The room was nice; we had a terraced suite, nice view and room was fresh and modern.

Cons: The season is pretty much over so the hotel was operating with limitations, however this reduced offering did not come with a reduced price to justify the lesser experience. We felt like many of the staff did not want to be there, not all of them, but many of them were borderline rude. The surrounding area was desolate, only a couple other options (without driving) for food at a reasonable time, we dont prefer to wait until 20:00 to have our evening meal. We did not recieve water and coffee refills daily, whilst it may be that hotels policy, I travel for work and in my experience 5 star hotels (and even lesser starred hotels) replenish these supplies on a daily basis. We had just previously stayed at Royal Marbella Golf Resort, for less than half the price, and had a better overall experience. We found the cleaning staff to be the most pleasant of all the staff. We also tried to order room service one day and after many attempts to connect with them, we were unsuccessful in getting any room service.
