Clean, simple, comfortable, and spacious-enough single room. Mine face the courtyard and was very quiet, with the window open, until at least 8am.
The "Erstatz bus" (substitute bus for a train connection) from Wiesbaden to Ruedesheim was overcrowded and broke down immediately on arrival at the stop in Wiesbaden. ...though not after packing everyone in to an overcrowded bus, for 20 minutes, in an increasingly hot and stuffy environment, before having to exit and wait for the next bus.
At this moment, at the start of rush hour at 4pm, I then found myself waiting with three times as many people for the net.
I bailed out, ran back into the station, and spontaneously went to Bingen. I had dinner there and took the ferry across to Ruesdesheim later.
The ferry from Bingen to Ruesesheim was regular and took 15 min, plus a short walk. Deutsche Bahn quoted about an hour and 45 minutes to get to the other side, through multiple connections.
So, moral of the story is to stay in Bingen, on the other side of the Rhine River. Take the ferry across if you want to visit Ruedesheim. Bingen is a direct, regular connection from Frankfurt. Hotel Ruedesheimer Hof was lovely, but not a destination in itself.

The room was very comfortable and clean. It was hot when we visited - there was no aircon as the building is a traditional building but there was a fan provided. The breakfast was superb - plenty of choice, a wide variety of items and frequently replenished. I was travelling with an elderly relative and the staff readily changed the room so that we had a walk in shower, and she couldn't manage the bath. The hotel is on a central location within easy walking distance of the town and the riverside.
The room was quite hot, but we did visit during a heat wave. Everything else was great

Nice big room and bath, excellent breakfast, attentive and helpful staff.
Central location means traffic noise.

Located close to shops, restaurants and attractions. Good breakfast.
The hotel is located on a busy street. We had to open the windows because of unseasonably hot weather so the noise from traffic was very unpleasant. Staff gave us a fan which provided some comfort.
