This was our second stay at Jicky’s Nest. Upon arrival, we were at a different Guesthouse a few nights close by. Although it was quiet, the fan wasn’t very peaceful at night and there were no mosquito nets. Every room and Jicky‘s nest has mosquito net. This is a huge bonus for me because I love breathing fresh air at night and tearing the sound of nature. Despite being in an incredible location close to everything and the beach, the rooms are very quiet in the evening. You do not hear any vehicles at night whatsoever. The staff was so kind and professional. We actually came back and lost four nights of prepaid booking at another place just so we could get great sleep in their wonderful rooms.
I liked everything

Great location. Comfortable cottage. The hotel is partnered with a local restaurant, just a minute walk away. We had breakfast included so ate there every morning, however it was so good we had dinner there each night too!
Helped arrange a taxi to Alleppey for us, very helpful. Thank you Jicky!

Loved the cottage we stayed at. It was a very aesthetic place but also super quiet and tucked away. We sat on the porch at night and drank till the morning and our sound didn't travel to the other cottages or disturb them, neither were we interrupted by any of the other kids staying in adjoining cottages. The beach was literally not even 100 metres away and they are tied up with a restaurant which is situated just before the crossroad to the cliff and beach that serves amazing food for cheap.
Nothing at all. The place was amazing. I would definitely go again if I was going to Varkala.

The room was VERY basic. Just enough room for a bed and side table. Luckily the A/C was good! It did have a tiny patio which overlooked a clothesline.
My friend was perfectly happy with her room though.
The employees very very nice and helpful though!
