Hostal Lido has a fantastic location for visiting Madrid landmarks, walking around city centre with plenty of places to eat. Room was spotless and very comfortable.
Staff are friendly but have to say, Pablo’s welcome was superb! He is knowledgeable and very proud of his neighbourhood. He gave us great tips on places to visit.
We will be coming back next time we are in Madrid.
As it is centrally located, there is noise during nighttime.

Excellent location, very close to Sol without being in the middle of the chaos. The staff was very helpful, they even waited for me when I arrived a little after reception closing time (do let them know beforehand if you are in a similar situation).
All else was a solid 8. Clean, functional, simple and comfortable.

Location a short distance from Puerta Sol. Friendly, informative staff, particularly local eating places. Constable beds. Nearby easy access to Atocha station/Airport via metro. Basic, no frills, but ideal for economic short stay in Madrid.
Very compact bathroom. Toilet flushing, conversational noise from adjoining rooms could disturb light sleepers.
