Safestay Cowgate is in a prime location for those looking to enjoy the vibrant musical nightlife of Edinburgh. It is directly across from bars which host live bands and dancing. The staff were also quite friendly and the property seemed clean. The staff took time to answer questions and provide recommendations. It was also quite reasonably priced and there are not triple bunks!
I do wish that there was a microwave and fridges. The breakfast looked decent, but not a very good value. There is a cost for storing luggage.

During the Festival month, Edinburgh accommodation is hard to find and expensive. So the security of a Safestay hostel is a good choice, and stays at a reasonable price. And it's perfectly located for running between Festival venues.

Location is very good. Quiet room if nobody snores. First night was noisy. Second night was much pleasant. Bed OK.
Bathrooms can be a little bit more clean. Bathrooms and showers floor was really little dirty. This can be fixed very quick.
