Homely feel, open fire, great breakfast
Rooms were a little dated but I understand it’s a old property.

This was my second stay at the Burythorpe House Hotel, the first being Sep 25. I was really impressed the first time, and this time didn't disappoint either. The staff are some of the most attentive I have come accross, looking after my every need. The bar is comfy and personal, and generally a lovely place to be. Only slight disappointment this time was that dinner was not available as a shooting party had hired the venue (dinner was fantastic on my first visit), but a short walk down to the Bay Horse pub in the village provided me with a great pint and some quality food.

It felt luxurious and special Treated very well by all the friendly staff. Extremely comfortable. Molton Brown toiletries. Tea, coffee inc decaf and hot chocolate making facilities in the room as well as complimentary water with glasses. A Comfortable and welcoming lounge bar with roaring fire. Excellent and delicious breakfast. Would stay again.
There is no lift and we were on the top 3rd floor although staff offered to help with case.

The views.
The peace.
The staff.
The free standing bath.
The bathroom.
Needs refreshing as the building interiors looked shabby.
There are no USB points.
The lights didn’t all work properly in our room.
Limited menu for dinner and drinks.
No mini fridge for milk etc. making the tea tray disappointing.
Limited sky channels.
