I like that the place was safe and was around amenities and the see
I didn't like that the property was not clean enough and there was a bad smell of a sewage coming into the house from the old pipes and also the bedding was never changed for the five days we were there which was unacceptable my advice to the owner is even if there's no one to come and change the bed sheets pls at least make sure that you leave clean sheets so that a guess can change it him or herself and secondly I don't understand why there's black towels in the bathroom how will we know if it's clean thirdly can you pls leave a bottle of harpic in the bathroom so that it can be used for the toilet now that there's no one to clean during the stay it can help to keep the toilet refreshed cause it's Risk to leave a toilet without being cleaned for days you can have an outbreak pls be cautious fourthly your shower I have never seen such a dirty shower I don't know who's cleaning your house but she's not doing you or your business any justice if I were you I will fire here on the spot cause cleanliness is what attracts us to a place and can I give a tip on what to use on your bathroom and outside drains 1 vinegar mix with domestos , bicarbonate of soda and handy andy mix them together use gloves and apply it everywhere and leave it for an hour then use sponge for the walls and use scrubbing brush for the floor especially in the shower and in the drains use vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to take care of that smell otherwise you have a beautiful place safe and secure and a wonderful caterker and thank you Emmanuel you are a wonderful soul

The location was great as it was close to schools where our children had sports fixtures. We weren't on holiday so did not view it through those eyes. Banana Palm offers good value for money, but like with most things: you get what you pay for. That said, with a little more attention to detail (at not a lot of cost), this place could be so much better.
I booked 2 nights at Banana Palm for our family of 5 knowing full well that it was not going to a be a stay at The Savoy. However, even though it's a budget-friendly offering, there are still some basics that should be met.
The bed count is not as it is listed on the booking platform. Bedroom 1 only has a double bed - not "1 single bed & 1 large double bed". This is misleading. Be that is it may, one of our sons had to make do with one of the 2 sleeper couches. Not a very comfortable night's sleep.
Despite booking for 5 people, there was no bedding supplied for the sleeper couch. I really had to motivate to the caretaker that we needed sheets at the very least least. He did eventually bring two, but there were no pillows or duvet.
There were also only 3 bath towels supplied, and not enough glasses (4), mugs (3) or forks (4) to cater for this unit. The caretaker was able to get 2 extra towels, but not the other items.
The WiFi signal is not strong or stable enough to watch DSTV or other streaming platforms from the smartTV. It was ok in the early hours of the morning.
It's the little things that could make a stay here that much better. For instance: ensuring there are enough essentials (linen, crockery & cutlery) to meet the needs of the guests; supplying a small bar of hand soap in the bathrooms; fixing broken cupboard hinges; and ensuring the braai is clean prior to arrival.
(To note: I did attempt to contact our host via SMS, email and through the Booking.com platform. The number provided was not on WhatsApp. We did not get a response during our stay.)
