Location/ Parking:
The cottage sits at the top of a short steep unadopted cul-de-sac which is quiet and peaceful. Parking is usually available outside of the cottage although during busy times this cannot be certain.
There are local roads behind the cottage which have easy parking and there is a short footpath that takes you to Lilac Cottage.

Comfortable Living Spaces:
From the flag-stoned porch, the front door leads into a small hall connected with the sitting room.
The cosy sitting room features a bay window, comfortable sofas and armchairs, a working fireplace, TV, DVD player, books and board games. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the coastline.

The spacious kitchen and dining room is the heart of the home, complete with an original fireplace, large pine dining table and traditional window seat overlooking the garden. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with everything needed for self-catering, including:
• Oven and hob
• Dishwasher
• Washing machine
• Fridge-freezer

• Extensive cookware and kitchen essentials

The modern bathroom is on the ground floor off of the hall. The white suite includes a bath with shower over (not for very tall people as the ceilings are quite low!), and heated ladder towel radiator.

A garden room provides additional seating and a quiet spot to relax with a book or enjoy views of the garden. The room includes a desk space and also an electric piano if you fancy a sing song!

The cottage stairs (with child gates both top and bottom) rise from the kitchen and please note are quite steep!.

Sleeps Up to 5/6 Guests:

• Couples/ Children's room equipped with a small double bed over which is a single bunk bed.

For babies, there is a travel cot, highchair and fireguard. There is plenty of room in any of the bedrooms for the cot.

All beds have mattress protectors, duvets and plenty of pillows, all of which are a mix of feather and synthetic. Guests do however need to bring their own bed linen and towels.

This is a charming cottage. Don’t be put off by the rather gloomy front room at the entrance of the property. As you walk through to the back the light floods into a well stocked bright kitchen with views over a generous back garden with roses round the door. The cottage is a short walk from town and that means it is quiet but still close to amenities (there’s a supermarket five minutes away.) It was 30 degrees when we visited and the thick walls kept the property refreshingly cool.Lilac Cottage is very good value and we certainly recommend it to those escaping the heat and bustle of city life.7

Nice cottage with a lovely garden, parking was not easy as only room for one car and also the road was steep and awkward to reverse up. However we really enjoyed our stay.
