Extremely stressful stay — would not recommend

Extremely stressful stay — would not recommend The experience was disappointing from the beginning. On the day of my flight, the host requested an additional €60, bringing the total extra charges to €224, via an international bank transfer to an IBAN sent by message, as well as passport photos via WhatsApp. As this was requested last minute, I initially thought it was a scam and had to spend hours contacting Booking.com to verify it was legitimate. This caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress before my holiday had even started. Once we arrived, the self-check-in instructions were clear, which was one of the few positives. However, we never saw the host at any point during the stay and all communication was via WhatsApp. The biggest issue was that the air conditioning did not work. The room was over 30°C and we were unable to sleep properly. I spent around an hour trying to troubleshoot it and sent the host a video showing the issue. I was told they would look into it, but nothing was done. I followed up again and eventually requested a refund, but received no response. The balcony could not safely be left open as it connected to the communal kitchen and could potentially allow access to the room. The window also could not be properly opened. We had two virtually sleepless nights. Because of this, my niece and her mother stayed with family nearby, and on the final night my niece's father and I also stayed with my cousin. We returned to collect our belongings and checked out during the night rather than spend another night there. It has now been around two weeks and the host still has not responded to my refund request. Booking.com contacted the host on my behalf, but they have also received no response. Overall, the lack of working air conditioning, poor communication and failure to address the problem made this an extremely stressful stay. I would not recommend this property. I am no happy with property manager

I like the location.

Review for Booking.com Title: 🚨 Unsafe and Terrifying Experience! / Unsafe and Terrifying Experience! Review Body: This is the worst and most terrifying experience I have ever had with Booking.com. While we were sleeping (around 5:30/11:30 PM), we were woken up by a man who claimed to be the manager knocking on our door. It was obvious that the man had been drinking or taking something; he was very loud, angry, and threatened us by saying "shut up". In the middle of the night, he asked us to pay him 130 euros in cash for "laundry/cleaning". When we told him we didn't have cash, he showed us an unnecessary and pathetic attitude that went as far as to say "make an international transfer now" and "I won't accept it if the money doesn't arrive right away". This place is not safe at all. It is a behavior that disrupts the peace of customers and endangers lives. I request Booking.com to take immediate action against this apartment and its management and remove them from the platform. I would never recommend this place to any guest!

Far too expensive.

Closed to Vatican.

Paying 60€ for towels was far too much. They should write in their description that the towels are not included. Paying to rent towels is just another way to get your money.

Very nice contact with the manager Martina, great location, fair price, beautiful views from the balcony, well-equipped kitchen, nice place. 70 meters from the bus stop, restaurant and mini grocery market.

The cleaning is not there. I did share a room with my kids the main bed had a quilt that had bodily functions on it ! VERY discontinuing . Wen I did talk to the owner and showed him what I was talking about instead of apologizing he blamed this on his staff . However he did removed blanket and changed it with another’s rooms quilt. He did change rooms for us on the last night. Things were broken in room
