The views from from our room was truly amazing day and spectacular at night. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was a 10 minute walk into town but the views on the walk were fantastic, we found a lovely restaurant to stop for a drink on the way.
The staff were fantastic especially the lovely Annamarie, she won a place in my heart, such a friendly and helpful lady. She is an asset to the breakfast room and the hotels team. 5star lady !

Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Our room had a beautiful private view of the ocean, birds, cliffs and the sound of a running creek. Our visit was quiet, when we were there.

Very clean and accommodating.
There were no option other than stairs to get to and from our room. Understand this is an old property but we are seniors with walking handicaps. Had I known we were in the bottom room with no help I would not have booked.

The best thing about this hotel is the view. It's high on a cliff with stunning views of the bay, city, mountains, landscape, etc. It even has a private beach with a cute patio - which only matters if you're travelling in the summer.
Meanwhile, we were a good 25-30 min walk from restaurant, shops, etc. on an extremely narrow sidewalk with heave traffic racing by. There is absolutely zero sound proofing. We were woken up repeatedly by maids cleaning and talking, other guests coming and going. It was NOISY. The beds were hard and we didn't have any climate control other than opening and closing windows (which meant more noise) - some nights we were hot, some we were cold.
The people at the front desk and our breakfast attendant (AnnaMaria) were very friendly and helpful. We also got great tour and transportation idea from them (after we asked, they weren't offered up front) and the rooftop bar was spectacular.
Noise, hard beds and being so far from everything.
