This is a very chill spot in the mountains and unlike a lot of other similar ‘traditional’ hotels, they are always updating and keeping on too of maintenance. We keep coming back and stay in the wooden bungalow (I think 3A or 3B) and this last trip discovered the renovations made to massage beds up the back - best hot rock massage in Bali BTW. Food always fresh and tasty and breakfast very generous. Smiling. Hospitable staff always ready to help fulfil any request if they can.
It’s pretty close to perfect - a lift from the bottom carpark to our room would be great - joking!

Lovely views of surrounding hills and rice fields. Well tended gardens with amazing pool on the very steep site. Views from dining area also.
Staff were delightful. There is a great walk to village of Munduk via rice fields which avoids main road. Close to waterfall walk.
There are many steps to get to rooms as it’s on a steep site so wouldn’t be suitable for people with any mobility issues.
Although off the main road, motorbikes still pass by all day but that’s Bali village life! Quiet in evening.

We had a wonderful stay at Bali Rahayu Homestay in Munduk. Everything was great! The view was absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of our stay. The swimming pool was also amazing, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The location is a little remote, but that’s understandable as most accommodations in Munduk are quite secluded because of the mountains. For us, this was not a problem at all.
Overall, everything was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend Bali Rahayu Homestay! 🌴🏔️😊

Very affordable, beautiful views and a lovely area of plantations, waterfalls and rice paddies to explore. Our bungalow was private and comfortable.
Lots of stairs! But staff were helpful carrying bags up and down.
