Vacasa is an unethical business. Do not rent any unit that is managed by Vacasa.

Newry is beautiful. The condo was relatively clean and comfortable, however, it’s in desperate need of upgrades. The couches were ripped. The shower mats were dingy. There was food on the floor under the stove.

When we booked the condo through booking.com, which was managed by Vacasa all of our confirmation. Emails indicated that the pool and hot tub were open. We chose this condo as it was a school vacation week and had access to a pool, a hot tub, a steamer, a sauna, and a fire pit at the pool. We were planning on spending much of our time at the pool. Upon arrival, the pool was closed. We simply asked to check out and cancel our stay as that was our main reason for going there. We were told we could not cancel nor could we check out and get a refund. The customer service from Vacasa was horrible. They wound up giving us a small discount, but we were not looking for a discount we simply wanted to cancel and leave and check in somewhere that had the amenities we were seeking. Again, all confirmation emails stated that the pool and hot tub were indeed open during that week. Vacasa claims that it’s not their problem, but they should not be sending out confirmation emails that state the pool is open. In talking with the condo association owner, it is common knowledge that the pool is closed this time of year. It was not just closed for a day or two due to repair. Numerous rental owners in town told me that they would not use Vacasa anymore because of their poor management skills. Do not do business with Vacasa. They also said they would send someone to the condo to address our cleanliness issues, no one ever came.

We had a great stay and were pleasantly surprised overall.

Easy access (short walk across parking lot) to ski-in and ski-out. Bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms worked well for our group of 6. Fireplace and ample supple of wood and kindling was awesome. Towels, blankets, bath supplies, kitchen supplies - all great. The living room is really comfortable for hanging out and playing games or watching a movie on a nice HD TV with the awesome fireplace. The pool and hot tub facility is very nice. - large, really warm pool and super warm hot tub. We loved it. Most of the times not too crowded, but on the weekends after skiing is crowded.

No mudroom, and not enough hooks and boot storage in entry way. This is the weakest part of the property. For a ski condo for a family, there is just nowhere to put your jackets and boots when you come inside. The outdoor closet for the skis is fine, but noone wants to keep boots out there. Master Bedroom door did not shut. Laundry next to kitchen has no door and the finish of the installation for the washer/dryer is a little sloppy. The dishwasher leaked water onto the floor.

The so called cabin was row house, that was furnished with old furniture, lacked amenities like air conditioning and not everything was in working order
