Cherokee Lodge is superbly located on Coronado, we parked the car up & walked or biked everywhere. It's in a quiet road one road back from the main road, 5 mins walk to the beach, loads of coffee shops, restaurants to choose from, we even walked down to the ferry terminal to take a ferry to the midway. Great facilities, lovely outdoor space to sit & enjoy breakfast/drinks. We parked for free on one of the surrounding roads. There are snacks available seemingly 24/7. It's really well looked after from gardens to cleaning. Don't hesitate to stay here.
This property is wonderful, perhaps a little dated, the aircon was pretty noisy (luckily we were happy to sleep without it on). The shower was a little on the small side, but considering the price paid, this is an awesome property. If you want to stay slap bang in the middle of Coronado on a budget, this place is brilliant.

It was an authentic, quaint, building and room. The garden outside was a great place for our morning coffee. Walking to the beach was easy and through a fun neighborhood. The continental breakfast had a great selection of choices.
Our room was 85 degrees when we arrived. They should have had the room air conditioner on in anticipation of our arrival. Not the issue of the lodge, but our morning coffee and breakfast outside had to be moved inside due to the construction noise in the neighborhood. I think we got lucky to find a parking space on the street.

The location.
The bed, just like the room and the bathroom, was small and uncomfortable.
For two nights, my husband and I slept in the worst bed we had experienced during our three-week trip across America. These were our last two nights of the trip, which made the experience even more disappointing and upsetting. Considering the high price we paid, the overall experience was truly disappointing.
