What stood out most was the hotel's classic charm and character, which created a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The room layout was thoughtfully designed, making everything easy to find, access, and use. The hotel also had a wonderful signature scent and many distinctive touches that enhanced the overall experience. Most importantly, every staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and committed to providing outstanding service.
N/A. There is not anything I did not like during my stay. I wish I was a little more attentive about things offered such as nights for live music or events in the lobby. Overall hotel staff did their best to make sure you were knowledgeable about events at the hotel and nearby attractions.

Most likely the best hotel in downtown Colorado Springs -- nice ambience and energy, very clean, friendly and accommodating staff, and comfortable rooms with individual HVAC that actually works. The inviting and open great room around reception with couches, leather chairs, communal tables, and a bar provides and inviting and upbeat space. Also, the food was exceptional, both breakfasts and the dinners I had in the adjoining Oro restaurant were superlative. I'd go back just for the restaurant.
The rooms are a bit small -- or mine was. And, my room's view into the interior of the building and the rooms opposite was a disappointment and provided no reason to open the curtains. Morning breakfast crew and coffee bar staff had a bit of a grumpy or "I'm too cool to be nice" attitude, which distracted from the overall impression of the staff. And while the open, energetic space for coffee and drinks is a real asset, the music volume and poor acoustics made spending time there in the afternoon impossible.

The car valet was excellent - quick and efficient.
I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past, however I as disappointed in this recent stay for the following reasons: 1. Poor check and check out experience: the woman checking me in was not overly friendly or welcoming, and she did not get my email address which required me to followup with the hotel after my departure since there was no one at the desk when I left on my departure date at 6:00 am. I left my room key at the desk and had to phone back later to receive the invoice; the desk staff said they didn't have an email address for me. 2. Poor in-room amenities: again we've stayed here before and didn't mind the lack of coffee machine, or bathroom toiletries such as a shower cap, make-up wipes, etc. since the price we paid per night was low, but on this visit I paid over $250 a night so my expectations were higher. For three nights my bill was over $1000 which included valet parking and a 'resort' fee. 3. 'Bronze' rooms are small with no view. I would not recommend the Bronze rooms; they are small, and more of an issue, they look over a roof courtyard and my room had the view of a large air conditioner unit. 4. Noise on Saturday night: There was a loud party going on in the alley way outside my room on Saturday night which was annoying; it was thumping with music, very loud. I called the front desk, the desk clerk was not at all helpful: she said she thought it was private party going on in the alley way. Okay.....not helpful at all. On the upside the car valet guys are great and the lobby area is nice. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.
