Delta King Hotel

Being on a 99 year old paddle boat was a cool experience. The location (as supporters for the Ironman event) was phenomenal. The boat is located directly across from where the swim ends. The staff is super welcoming and helpful.

The boat is across from a dock full of 30-50 Sea Lions (which are very fun to watch), but they are extremely loud and make a huge “barking” sound every few hours throughout the night! It was very difficult to sleep, which was a real bummer.

I liked the room with outside access better.

A wonderful historic hotel, this is not your modern faceless hotel but a quiky place to stay, room is small but comfortable so bear this in mind if you have different expectations. The hotel has a nice bar and you can sit outside on deck in the evening enjoying the view and the breakfast was excellent, we enjoyed our stay plus it is perfect for visiting Old Town Sacramento.

The location was great. It's located right down town.. Most stores close early on the weekdays. Some are not open at all. The boat was neat . It was right of the river.

The bed was creaky, and the sheets were rough and scratchy. Some seals across the river were camped out there, and they were loud at times. Our room was 50 feet from the front desk, and the walls were paper thin. I could when a new guess was checking in. There were these electronic doors right on the other side of the wall next to my room . They were so loud you could hear them open and close, every time a guest went out on the deck.
