* Location, close to the beach and public transport * Parking spot included in the booking * Nice city/mountain/sunrise view from the 20th floor * Balcony
* The room's interior was a bit dated (somewhat noisy A/C, windows didn't close tightly so city noises were audible in the night) * Patchy Wi-Fi at times.

The one bedroom unit was well equipped and great for our family. The recently renovated pool, hot tubs, tennis and basketball court are fabulous. Chieko Dow took excellent care of our family.

This condo so was economical that allowed us to stayed 2-3x longer in Hawaii than if we had stayed in a hotel! Plus we had a separate kitchen (fully stocked with cookware etc.) and living room with a sofabed. Great location too! Walkable to beach plus everything in Waikiki. Beautiful sunset ocean view from the lanai. Property management staff went above and beyond our expectations. Excellent covered parking structure. 24-hour staffing and security. Quiet neighbors. Everyone was kind and helpful and showed so much aloha!
The pool and recreation area were closed for upgrades, but we knew that before we booked, plus to swim you can just walk to Waikiki beach!

The location was great and having a parking space was a huge perk. Although we didn’t use the pool, jacuzzi, or tennis courts, they all looked really nice. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was nice. It was really nice to have a kitchen in the room. Our room had a nice balcony with an ocean view. The room had a beach umbrella, a beach mat, and beach chairs. There is a room by the office that has snorkel gear, boogie boards, and several other beach toys that you can borrow. They also had movies and books you could borrow too.
We arrived after hours and finding the hotel was a challenge. We didn’t realize that the Ponoaloha was inside of the Waikiki Banyon hotel. There is no signage for the PonoAloha at all. When we pulled into the parking garage, we asked the attendant if this was the garage for the PonoAloha hotel and he said he was not familiar with that hotel. After driving around the block a few times looking for the hotel, we decided to just try to go up to the room number we were given at the Waikiki Banyon and we were able to get into the room using the code we were given. The refrigerator had a huge brown and rust like stain covering the entire fridge door. We noticed bug traps around the kitchen and entry. While I understand that it may be necessary, it would be nice if they could hide them under furniture so they are not completely visible. The posted office hours are not official. We saw that the office opened at 8 but they do not actually open until 9 and they close at 3. There were several times that we tried to call the office and did not get an answer. We also tried to reach them through the booking.com messaging feature and did not get a response. We called once about getting our towels refreshed and were told they did not service our room. There were 4 bath towels in the room and only 2 beach towels. We asked if we could get more beach towels but they told us we could only get new beach towels if we exchanged them for the towels we had. Because of the short window of office hours, they was a huge challenge as most of the activities we had planned were during their office hours.
