I work out 3 = hours a day . I need a fitness center. I book hotels by the pictures of their fitness centers. I am very often completely disappointed by the reality of hotel fitness centers. I can make do with very cardi or weight resistance tools. I went to the Hampton Inn fitness center located on their lower lever. Upon entering the room It felt as if it were 100 degrees.
I saw that the central air was not working, but there was a portable a/c unit running at 62 degrees and exhausting all the hot air right back into the fitness room. It appears someone had pulled the exhaust tubing from the HVAC return in the ceiling.
I went to the front desk and asked if they could have a maintenance person re-attach the exhaust tube to the ceiling HVAC. they were unsure and I thought to myself that they would not fix the situation as has been my experience at the Atlanta Midtown Hilton ( they told me to buy my own personal fan and bring it into their hotel fitness center, because they would not fix the a/c issue in their building - thEY also advertised a roof top pool that had been closed for two years).
HOWEVER, TO MY SURPRISE, THE WEIGHT ROOM A/C WAS FIXED IN 5 MINUTES! The maintenance person was even there on site and rechecked the exhaust again during my workout and the following day! THE HAMPTON INN REALLY SHOWED MY WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. THE HAMPTON INN REALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR GUEST SATISFACITON AND EXPERIENCE. THE HAMPTON INN CARES ABOUT THEIR HOTEL. It was the cleanest hotel I have been in since 2020.
I thank you all for making my Hampton Inn experience a 10/10.
Nothing it was perfect. They even had vegetarian food options in their concierge store for late - late night snacking!

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. We stayed here because we had an event on at the convention center. It was nice and close just a short walk to the convention center.
The breakfast was not great. Ther were a lot of homeless around. This was in no fault of the hotel and in fact, I thought the hotel dealt with this issue well, locking the doors so you needed to swipe in just to enter the property. The only issue there is when you arrive, we couldn't get in, and it took the staff quite a while to realise and let us in the front doors.

Very close to union square and transit. We stayed for an event that was transit accessible and that was important to us. The hotel itself was friendly and well staffed.
Area around the property has a decent number of vagrants so just be on the lookout. Generally bad vibe in the neighborhoods surrounding this place. Complimentary breakfast while appreciated is on the bad side but luckily there is plenty of surrounding restaurants.
