We loved our stay here! The room was very cute, we really enjoyed spending time on the lawn playing corn hole, sitting in the Adirondack chairs, and using the tree swing, and the breakfast was exceptional! The staff were all so nice and very professional too.
My husband thought the ceiling in our room was a bit low, but I’m 5’4 so I didn’t even notice, lol.

Arriving at Captain's House Inn felt great. After busy Boston, here was quiet Chatham... Loved the room in the Stables unit. Loved the very large breakfast menu - very tasteful and great waitresses. We could park the car in front of the room which was fantastic. and in the morning we had our first coffee on the private deck in the back. What a holiday feeling!
Not much really. What felt rather awkward was this: one evening we wanted to watch television but couldn't get the tv started. We asked the innkeeper to help us out, which she agreed to but after a couple of minutes (and zero result), she said she needed space outside and left. She did not return which was disappointing. Very strange...

We loved the grounds and the dining room and the food. The staff was more than helpful for everything.
The room smelled musty upon entering and we discovered the air conditioner was emitting musty air so we could not use it as I am very allergic to mold. We turned off the air conditioner and used the fireplace, the fan and the opened the windows to clear the air so I would not get an asthma attack. Even then I had to take medicine every day. There was no other room to move to at that time.
