This property was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and so relaxing. I was really excited to celebrate my birthday in Evergreen, somewhere I had never visited before, and it ended up being such a special weekend. We stayed in the Daisy Suite for two nights, and it was cozy, clean, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. We saw deer and even a baby deer in the yard, enjoyed the chickens, sat outside under the gazebo and lights, and used the hot tub one evening, which was wonderful. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the sitting area was perfect for relaxing and watching TV.
The location was also great for exploring Evergreen. We went to the lake, hiked, enjoyed the fall leaves, went fishing, and really got to enjoy being in the mountains. My fiancé is a chef, so having the kitchenette was one of the reasons we chose the suite, and it was really nice being able to cook and enjoy meals together. The hosts also checked in with us by text, and they were kind enough to allow us a late checkout after I had gotten back late from a Broncos game, which made our travel day so much easier. Overall, it was a beautiful birthday getaway, and I would definitely stay here again.
There were just a few things that kept the stay from being a 10 for me. The shower temperature was difficult to regulate. Both my mother-in-law and I experienced the water going from hot to cold repeatedly, which made showering a little uncomfortable.
The kitchenette could also use a few updates. The oven did not seem to close properly, the knives were very dull, and there were limited cooking utensils and kitchenware. Since having a kitchen was an important reason we booked the suite, some updated cookware and utensils would make a big difference.
Our first interaction when we arrived also felt a little uncomfortable. We had my mother-in-law joining us for dinner, and we were immediately questioned about having another person on the property because the reservation was for two guests. I completely understand needing to know who is on the property, but the way it was approached made us feel a little like we were in trouble before we had even settled in. After that, though, our experience was very pleasant.

Emily was wonderful and so helpful. Our room was immaculate and cozy and it was great being so close to town. We loved our short stay at Alpen Way and hope to return one day. It was a fun bonus to see elk right outside our room! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!!

Alpen Way was tucked into a peaceful spot in Evergreen. It was clean and cozy. We appreciated the binder with information about the area. The owners were responsive and friendly. :)
There was no real safe walking paths to the town. I know this isn't the owners fault but I love to walk and that was not a fun experience in this area.

We were moving to Evergreen and needed a place close by to stay during the transition. Alpen Way Chalet provided the perfect place. We love the Bountiful Cabin and the set up in the back patio. A great comfortable bed and the kitchen provided us everything we needed. If we were not moving and traveling for fun, this is the kind of place we would love to stay at and enjoy the grounds, which looked amazing.
