Spark by Hilton Nacogdoches

Our room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The motel was quiet.

Our toilet was not filling with water when flushed. We reported the issue on Sunday. We were told that the earliest anyone could look at it was Monday. When we asked about possibly transferring into another room, we were told that the motel was booked and they were unable to offer any alternatives. There was not enough parking. The lot was completely full and we had to park offsite.

Arrived at the hotel after a 6 hour motorcycle ride down to Nacogdoches with my motorcycle group that I have been the leader of for over a decade now....all of the members of our group were absolutely blown away by their accommodations at the hotel after check-in, but unfortunately when I went to my room, it was NOT the room that I had booked months prior. It was 2 queen beds with a handicapped restroom, and I had booked a room with a King bed and a Sofa...the entire scene looked like a very cold, plain and boring college dorm room...and knowing that my wife was due to arrive shortly AND the fact that it was NOT the room that I booked, I returned to the front desk to resolve the situation. As helpful and as courteous as the front desk could possibly be, due to a full hotel, he was unable to get me the room that I had originally booked but he was able to finally figure out that for some reason, the "Manager" of the hotel had "changed" our original reservation for an unknown reason and at this point there were no other rooms available that matched my original reservation. I tried really hard to not be that customer that acts like a "Karen" about the situation...but I will not lie, I felt it was really wrong that I was the one that brought the multiple reservations to the hotel and somehow it's MY room that is a nightmare. The front desk clerk was very kind and professional, but conveyed that he was truly unable to assist any further...but he did actually give us the phone number of the OWNER of the hotel and suggested that we give it a try. Mind you, nobody would actually expect the "OWNER" to even answer the phone, much less offer any support to what appeared to be a hopeless situation. But let me tell you this...he DID actually answer...and he was extremely kind and and sympathetic to my situation...and he FIXED EVERYTHING!!! Thank you for being A+++ in customer service!!!

No outdoor seating at all...no benches or chairs anywhere on the property. Breakfast was truly "gross" for such a nice hotel...but honestly speaking, ALL hotel breakfasts are pretty bad...but...for such a nice place and being a part of Hilton, I guess we just expected better than some powdered eggs floating in inches of water accompanied by some really fake sausage...and basically NOTHING else but some cereal and bagels....No waffles?!?! Biscuits/Gravy?!?! oh...and Folgers Coffee?!?!?!? Really?!?!?!? Folgers at a Hilton?!?!

New and clean

Very minimalist furniture. No dressers for clothes. Only cold options for breakfast. No noise dampening closure on room doors. Multiple Halliburton workers that left early morning with door slamming starting at 3 am. Gym closed.
