The location was right next to UC Davis, so it was very convenient. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean and updated. The air-conditioning in the room was very strong. The little kitchenette met our need for one night.
The air-conditioning unit in the room was fairly loud, and it woke us up several times during the night.
We had spoken to the evening supervisor about our early departure the next morning, and we asked if we could get coffee 1 hour earlier than the normal hours for breakfast. He stated that we would have to contact the person on for the overnight shift. Normally guests expect staff to communicate early departures, etc. among themselves but not in this case. Anyway, there were some surprises next morning as staff had no idea about our request. The individual working that shift was surprised and grumpy about being bothered. This is so unusual. We recommend that you put in writing any early morning requests for staff so they are prepared. FYI!!!!

We liked the comfortable bedding, the location, the breakfast the following morning.
The only thing we could think of was the state of the parking lot. This Best Western is a Motel on the lower level and we loved being able to roll up to our room door. However, there was a lot of remodeling work happening on site and the parking lot showed it with all kinds of debris (bits of sheet rock, metal, construction dust). We are confident that as the work finishes, the place will get a thorough cleaning.

The room and hotel in general was Best Western quality. The staff was exceptional, especially Daniel who made sure mine and my sister's rooms close to each other.
The price was Hyatt. Over $800 for 3 nights was outrageous.
