Was really not expecting much. we travel across the country 2x a year and have a "route". it usually involves stopping overnight in Socorro. for the last several years we tried to avoid it as it was a hotel desert. the economy lodge had good ratings and accepted dogs. I was skeptical when I entered the lobby. I hope it is due to remodeling as it'a a bit shabby. the room though was terrific. nicely appointed, clean and large. parking was plentiful and convenient and the area was quiet. will definitely put the Econo Lodge and Socorro back on our list.
the lobby.

The central location was a huge plus, access to all the canyon hiking areas, food/gas& grocery options were plentiful!
The breakfast was a little bland, but free, so yeah.

"The towels were fluffy and soft. The sheets were also very soft. Bed was extremely comfortable. We had joining rooms with our other half of the family. The rooms were spotless and large."
