The staff were very friendly, the price was great, lobby was beautiful, and the location was what we needed! Only a 20 minute drive to downtown Detroit and for an affordable one night stay, it did the job. The bed was very comfortable, linens and towels appeared clean, and they were able to accommodate early check in. The room did have a small balcony.
The hallways smelled the cigarette smoke and appeared very dingy. The room was what you would expect in the price point but the edges of the room were not vacuumed. The bathroom was dated and the shower tiles did not appear to be cleaned to the same standard as most places I've stayed. The balcony had remnants of cigarettes and joints and did not look swept.
