Clarion Inn Grand Junction Airport

Breakfast is always very good. We've had stays at various hotels and this is the best breakfast we've had. Also when I checked in the associate asked me if I would like a room on the first or second floor. That usually doesn't happen and made it a great option.

Pillows in the room on the bed are small. You get lots of them but larger pillows would be better for sleeping.

right off the highway. easy to get to palisades. easy check in. loved the dog area in the courtyard.

double bed room. the beds felt really small.

Breakfast was great, the room was quiet, as was the a/c! Staff was extremely prompt!

Shampoo and body wash wash empty in shower, but quickly received replacements - awesome!!

Breakfast was decent, and the room and facilities looked and smelled clean enough. The beds were comfortable and the climate control worked well.

The entire hotel is horribly run down. Staff weren't real friendly and the woman who checked us in literally lied to us - for some reason telling us that there is no shuttle service to the airport. The desk clerk the very next day confirmed that there is. The door to our room was stuck (seemingly from paint or something?) to the point of barely allowing entry. When we finally got the door open we were greeted by flickering and lights and a general state of unease. The room, once accustomed to it, was actually comfortable enough, but it had the feel of a run-down motel 6 on skid row. The following evening we were locked (from both keys) out of our room upon returning from a long day and had to walk around the bldg to the check-in desk to get in. This gave us the opportunity to see just how run down and poorly maintained the entire building is- both inside and out. The exterior building doors bang loudly enough to wake other room occupants when closing. Everywhere you look are clear signs of neglect and sub-standard attempts to keep the place operational. The whole atmosphere is one of apathy or ambivalence rather than a welcoming retreat. Very disappointing for the price. We will not be back.
