Everything about the hotel was great. The check in, the room and especially breakfast. The woman actually served your food over the counter and had a variety of hot eggs, sausage even a chili con carde.

We had to leave.

I left my rave review on my later trip. In particular, the staff is exceptional. EVERYONE went out of their way to be helpful and caring. Someone treats them right. Also, you won't find outstanding breakfasts like the one they serve here in your ordinary chain hotels.

The staff here is truly exceptional. From the maintenance folk to the desk clerks to the maids...they ALL went out of their way to help where needed in a cheerfully accommodating manner. When we two old ladies arrived, we were exhausted from driving to and from a medical procedure in Denver. Although we were before the usual checkin time, we asked to change our rooms to connecting ones and they arranged them speedily, while providing us with water. When weather caused us to stay an extra two days, they were most helpful in renewing our reservations. While we were not traveling at a busy time of the year, they handled all our kerfluffles with no fuss. You could tell that someone treated the staff with care and respect. Breakfast is exceptional....two folks put together hot breakfast from either the usual menu (scrambled eggs, meat, cheese, etc) or a daily special which can include things like huevos, biscuits and gravy, pancakes. If that doesn't suit you, there's an oatmeal bar (with fresh fruit), a waffle making station, juice, coffee, muffins (get there early). The two women who served were exceptionally helpful and cheerful. They earned their tips. When I was checking in, a man checking in with the other desk clerk said, "This is the best hotel I know of". I quite agree. Many hotels and chains should take lessons from these folks.
