Facility and grounds immaculate. Spa maintained nicely. Laundry and continental breakfast available.
Immediate proximity to very good Mexican restaurant.
Noted that staff anticipating their own breakfasts began hovering in the eating area toward the end of guest service. This coupled with the 'last minute' folks created a small but impenetrable crowd.

The room was exceptional, especially for a Super 8. It did not seem like a room at an economy room. The furnishings were modern, and you could tell it had been recently remodeled. The room seemed very clean, and the bathroom was very well appointed. The common areas were also clean and not worn. I was impressed.
The complimentary breakfast was one of the worst I've ever experienced in a motel. The choices were limited, basically coffee, mini muffins, a waffle maker, and cereal. I would have liked to see some fruit, fruit juice choices, bagels, bread, etc. (there was a toaster, but no bread!!). Also, the seating was limited - very small breakfast area.

The staff was friendly and helpful.
Booking.com screwed up the fact that I requested a pet room. I was unable to stay at this hotel.

Did not try.
They charged me for a early check in and all i did was get the keys to the room they assigned me to i didn’t actually get in my room until around 6 pm and was not told i would be charged an extra 30 dollars. They checked the room that I was assigned to at 9 am an the room was ready. The reason why I wanted to get the keys to the room was because i had to go to another town 25 miles away.If they had told me of the extra charge i would have not did it. I am a choice member and I wanted to try your chain of hotels. This caused me to not to stay again unless I have to.

"Room better than expected. But best of all was the staff: very friendly, informative about Montrose and surrounding experiences. Some of the best hotel staff I've ever encountered."
