Good location.
Place clearly needs a refurb, quite dated. Housekeeping not great - badly made bed gave sister much discomfort. Aircon in first room didn't work well and we had to move rooms. $15 f&b credits were derisory, didn't bother using.

Room was large and exceptional. Service terrific!
Breakfast was small and overpriced. Suggest having a buffet.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The hotel was clean, and I really enjoyed the fitness room. Great location in Dupont Circle, close to the metro.
The smell in the room was unpleasant, it seemed to come from the carpet or ventilation system and was noticeable as soon as you walked in.

Beds were comfortable
Lock on the door was a flimsy slider. At 1130p I was awoken because 2 disoriented men were trying to get into our room. I had a my young daughter with me and I didnt want to scare her. I cannot see without contacts and didnt want to open the door. The room phone was difficult to operate in the dark. When someone finally answered at the front desk they said they would send up security. When the men yelled let us in I said no loudly and they said we must have the wrong room. My concern lies in how easy it is to get up in tbe elevators without scanning your key card and the lack of a lock on the door that would make me feel safe. When I asked the front desk about it in tbe morning they simply said sorry for the inconvenience. I really didnt like that. It minimized how scary it was for 2 women traveling alone.
