What an absolute gem! We loved every thing about Taverna Akrogiali, from the stunning views, crystal clear water, wonderful food to the walk into Loutro and ferry back and fantastic hosts. Pavlos was so welcoming and his enthusiasm was infectious. His assistant Hussien was brilliant with a great sense of humour. Our room was spotless and very comfortable with a great view of the sea. We didn’t want to leave and after two weeks in Crete this was our favourite place.
Nothing.

A modest, quiet hotel right on the beach. Great hospitality and delicious home-style cooking. Staying in a place like this is a special and pleasant experience. And a bonus for those who stay up at night: a view of a star-filled sky over the sea.

Serene and isolated with a few places to eat and a lot to swim.
