The Lodge at Banner Elk

The staff was extremely friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable and the view of the mountains was beautiful.

The Inn was very nice. As I age, I realize I need a walk-in shower as opposed to step-in bathtub with shower. I was grateful that the inn had been recently renovated with a walk-in shower that was beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful with tips and directions. Once the renovations are completed, it will be a one-stop lodging location, with lodging and food in one location.

I was grateful that the inn had been recently renovated with a walk-in shower that was beautiful. However, I do have some design flaws that would add to the customer experience. There was no safety handlebar inside the shower that would assist getting in and out of the shower. The other thing was the toilet/shower area was very tight, hard to maneuver in and out the door. I finally realized there was a small area around the toilet to step into to open the door. That being said, the bottom of the door should be shaved off by at least an inch to allow for the shower mat to lay on the floor instead of bunching up and being pushed against the wall every time you went in and out the door.

The rooms were awesome beds comfortable

No restaurant but it is under construction which is understandable

Location

The air conditioning was awful so many loud noises
