Convenience, price, free parking, pool. Second time we have stayed here and appreciate the ease and quaintness of the hotel and grounds. Our son and daughter in law live in SD and this is our go to spot when visiting!

I like the historicalness of the property and buildings. It’s charming.
The freeway is pretty close. And I had to purchase water at vending machines.

The staff was very nice during check in. Not much interaction afterwards with any staff. I liked the added security of inserting the key card to get into the elevator or second/third floors. The pool looked really nice too. Breakfast was the also good.
The rooms looked dated and there were ants in the bathroom and in one of the beds. Found a couple spiders too. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they said OK and made a note. It would have been nice to offer some sort of discount for the issue.
