I have stayed here several times through the years either going to or coming from Austin, TX, or with my wife just coming to Lafayette for the Cajun music festival-which is awesome by the way, and I can report that the bed is still one of the most comfortable ones I have ever experienced in a hotel or motel.
Maybe it was because we were on the third floor, but we had a very slow WiFi connection. I mentioned it to the person at the front desk and was told it would be checked out. I noticed no change in the five nights were stayed there.
We shared a king bed, and the pillows were huge. It was almost like having another person in bed. When I asked at the front desk, if there was an alternative I was told all the pillows were the same. However when I asked a person doing house keeping on our floor, I was told they had two sizes, king and queen. By then it was too late to change.
Breakfast was your typical Wyndham breakfast, not bad, but could have been better. There's eggs, potatoes and sausage, but unless a person is there when breakfast begins, they are probably at room temperature. Again mentioned it to the person at the desk and was told it would be checked. They have a yogurt machine if a person likes vanilla yogurt, with raisins, chocolate chips, granola, and pecan slices to dress it up. The machine is slow and takes patience, but I would say it is probably the highlight of breakfast.

I enjoyed my overnight stay on 17 August 2026. I felt safe walking from my room to the outside to get a meal at Church's Chicken restaurant. I even stopped at Circle K convenience store on the way back to my room to purchase bottles of water. I appreciate the complimentary tag bags in the lobby area. Breakfast was delicious and filling.
I didn't like that I didn't receive a Veteran discount due to reserving my room utilizing the Booking app. I wasn't instructed in regard to amenities on property for my personal use at all. I noticed near the elevator a room with some gym equipment and a whirlpool.

The location was near my event, it was quiet and accommodating.
There were 3 of us, but when we arrived, there were only 2 bath towels, 1 face towel and a bath rug. There were stains and hair on the sheets. The carpet was sticky, and had what looked like a blood stain beside the bed. The bathroom door had to be forced to close completely, and the shower curtain was too short, which caused the floor to get doused with lots of water. Finally, at breakfast, their juice bar was broken, and the coffee was stale. The price was fair, but I don't believe I would stay again.
