Quiet room location. Good night sleep. Plenty of space for two people. 10 min drive to Pittsfield for evening entertainment - a theatrical play, bar, or a restaurant.
Breakfast was mediocre. Rooms could benefit from freshening up. When you enter the room smell of dust & stale carpet is noticeable.

The bed was really comfortable. There was lots of room, including a desk. Hot drinks available in lobby, along with somewhere to sit.
Shower worked well, with soap and lotions etc. If we had wanted, there was a fridge in the room and aircon. Good space for baggage, drawers, comfortable chair.
The aircon and fridge were noisy so we turned them off. We had to put a towel in the fridge while it defrosted, as there was so much ice buildup, and carefully empty out the tray in the tub.
We didn't have anyone servicing our room, though we were there for 3 nights. (But I was able to find a kind staff member in the corridor and get a dry towel.) When we were clearing up to leave, we found some other guest's notes down the back of the bed. There was some dust on the furniture, and the room smelled a bit like people used to smoke in it a long time ago. (But opening the window sorted it.)
The breakfast is apparently standard for this type of hotel, cooked but made out of processed long life ingredients rather than fresh. There was no bread or butter available, though there were bagels and cream cheese.
