Could not ask for a better location in Carlsbad, with easy access to nearby parks, lots of food options, and almost walking distance from LEGOLand. Easy access from the highway. Very pet friendly. Staff were great.
The other guests were a bit sketchy - no confrontations, but we were a bit worried for the stuff in our room. This is the kind of place where people seem to take up long-term residence. The grounds were not clean. The floor in the room was not clean.

Clean and comfortable! Pet friendly. Their pool is super clean too. Just checked it out today.
They definitely have improved their pet areas and it’s so much cleaner.
By Motel 6 Standards this location is an A plus in my book.
Close to I-5, LEGOLAND, Costco, In N Out, Carlsbad Beach, in a nice neighborhood near parks, 15 min to Target and Walmart
Bargain price for the area and each room has their own microwave and fridge which is awesome for Motel 6 in California

We liked the location, close to Carlsbad Village, beach, highway 5, the area seemed safe and quiet.
The website hotel advertises that there is free coffee at the reception, that was not true, nothing was there, also hotel was closed the first night. It will be nice if the room had a small coffee machine.
