So many things. The front desk staff, Jada and Timmy, were professional, helpful with local places.
No air conditioning. I understand due to climate, but air was still.

Location was OK and the hotel is old and quirky circa 1909 so some great features
Very noisy at 4-4-15am when the dust bin people emptied the trash cans, the tram runs nearby too and was noisy and the amount of homeless people around is unnerving. No parking for us when we arrived but found one on Washington St for $7.99 24 hours :)

Location, easy parking. Good room size. Quiet in hotel.
Toilet would not flush. Duty receptionist suggested i fix it myself. I suggested as i was on holidays and paying to stay that was not my job, and that what was needed was another room if they could not fix it. The slightly vague and perplexed receptionist eventually moved us. You need to request cleaning of your room before 10am if you want it.
