Location, location, location! We drive from CT to see our daughter in Newton, and this property is right off the highway, just 5 minutes from her place. Although the rooms are on the small side, they are designed to maximize the space and not feel cramped. The decor is actually tasteful, which you can’t say about every hotel. Everything feels clean, shiny and in good repair. Easy, inexpensive parking. And hurrah—really comfy mattresses on the beds. Shout out to Nikea at the front desk, who gave us a corner room (which we loved—great city views) and was as warm and charming as could be.
Apart from Nikea, who was awesome, the other two front desk clerks were distracted and unwelcoming although we arrived at a low-traffic time. We’ve stayed at this property a lot, and front desk service can be spotty

Staff were polite.Room was clean.
Was not informed we needed to pay $20 a night for parking until AFTER we had booked a non-refundable stay.
Parking pass/ticket did not work when we tried to use it.
There was road noise from the turnpike literally below the hotel.
Lock on room door was not working properly.
