The staff is very friendly.
I had to change the room three times to get a comfortable room

The central Berkeley location was convenient and made it easy to get around.
Housekeeping and communication were consistently disappointing. Despite requesting cleaning and leaving the room from around 11:15 a.m. until after 8:00 p.m., I returned to find it unserviced. When it was eventually cleaned, the sheets were still not changed. I had to contact the front desk at least three times before they were finally replaced. At check-in, I was also promised a room change next day, that never occurred and apparently had not been arranged.

"That it’s an old historic hotel with a great location, and restaurant/bar. The staff are very professional and bend over backwards to make sure guests are comfortable."
