Great location accessible to the theater District to restaurants and to the Commons all made this a good choice. Even having to drive to South Boston was made easy by the connection of the streets from the hotel to Boston University Medical Center it was only 1.8 miles drive.
Two drawbacks related to the hotel, one major the other acceptable. The first major drawback was in accessibility for someone with a limited mobility and safety issues relating to the bathroom shower. The entrance to the hotel required going up fairly high stairs. There was a very small staircase, leading up to the rooms and a small elevator. Neither would be appropriate for someone with a wheelchair or crutches this was the major issue.
The second drawback was the shower, not having handles and having a slippery floor, which could be a problem for anyone at any age, but more so for a person with a disability.
The room was not small with no view except the back alley between buildings, but that was acceptable given a one night stand.

Great location in downtown Boston, walkable to Boston Common and many key locations. Easy access to Seaport too and the airport is about 15 min. away. Staff was pretty responsive and helped me turn off the AC in my room which was making noise at night.
The single rooms were extremely small and not very comfortable. The property itself is old, it's noisy, and the AC was loud in the middle of the night. The booking process was also confusing - it was actually cheaper to book thru booking.com than directly with the hotel. Some rooms were cleaner than others. Honestly if you travel for work and want any space to be able to do your own work in the room, get a queen room or bigger.
