We had a lovely stay! The breakfast was definitely one of the highlights, with a better variety of options compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at. I particularly enjoyed the muffins, which were incredibly soft, along with the whipped butter and whipped cream cheese. The location was great, and the staff were kind, polite and helpful. Even when we encountered an issue with housekeeping, the staff handled our concerns courteously and made sure we had the essentials we needed.
We had requested room cleaning in advance, but unfortunately, our room was not serviced when we returned after a long day of sightseeing. It was a little disappointing, as coming back to a clean and refreshed room is one of the things we look forward to during a hotel stay. I’m not sure how the request was missed, but a little more attention to housekeeping requests would make the experience even better. That said, I appreciate how politely the staff responded when we raised the concern.

Our room thermostat wouldn’t cool the room it was always hot. I saw a couple of crawling bugs in the bathroom

The spaciousness of the room, plus the kitchen was equipped. Staff members were friendly.
I was quite disappointed when there was a coffee spill in an elevator early in the morning, and when reported to the front desk, another guest was told that nothing can be done until maintenance arrived on shift. I ended up cleaning it up myself (even though it was not my mess) because I was concerned about the Health & Safety issue should another guest or staff member slip and hurt themselves. I did speak with a supervisor later in the day and I appreciated that opportunity.

"The layout of the room and the conveniences it contained, i.e., the full kitchen were much appreciated. The Wednesday manager’s function was a treat."
