The location was phenomenal and was exactly what we were looking for. The staff was super friendly and very helpful, and our room was always very clean when we got back.
My only real complaint was that there was no way to control the air conditioning, and the room could get a little stuffy. Luckily, we went in early October, and we could open the window to let cooler air in.

We arrived at Hotel Mimosa after a month of European travel and had just come from beautiful Iceland, so it was a little bit of a mental shock when we arrived at night, dragging our suitcases through Chinatown. We honestly didn’t hold out much hope for this hotel.
But when we got there, we could immediately see how nice and clean the lobby was, and the front desk staff was very welcoming. When we got to our room, we actually laughed out loud because it was the smallest room we’d ever stayed in.
But hold on…it was SO clean and had so many thoughtful little amenities in the bathroom that we had really missed during our European travels, like washcloths, shampoo, and conditioner. I know that is common here in the US, but we were so happy to be back in the US where this is not just common - but expected. But this hotel went beyond and even had little tubes of toothpaste, toothbrushes, and a razor! Very thoughtful.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and despite the hotel being near the elevated train, it was surprisingly quiet. I slept soooo well! We got some great burgers nearby one night and authentic Chinese noodles the next night - also wonderful.
When we checked out and needed to keep our luggage safe for a few hours, the front desk put our things behind a locked storage room. In the basement area, there is also a large fridge where you can keep labeled food, along with a vending machine and a few other conveniences.
So, even though the rooms are tiny, the hotel is clean, comfortable, safe, friendly, and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
The rooms are so tiny - but there is not much that can be done about that! Just know this when you book it! The bathroom was a good size, though.

Bed is comfy; water pressure is strong; multiple subway stations within 10min walk; prompt housekeeping.
A little noise from the outside due to the hotel being just under the Manhattan bridge, but with the teli and fan on the noise is drowned out so it’s not a big problem. It usually is quiet already after 11pm.
Suggestions: A full body mirror in the room would be nice and an option for additional chair in the room.

Great location and friendly staff.
Sewage smell in room from bathroom. It was overwhelming and they could not really do anything about it. Also, room was freezing cold and we had no control over the temperature. That was manageable, but the smell was tough. Tha fully, we were able to keep it mostly contained to the bathroom by shutting the door. And, we could air out the room by opening the window.
