Motel 6-Arlington Heights, IL - Chicago North Central

I had a very pleasant six-night stay at Motel 6 – Arlington Heights, IL – Chicago North Central. The motel is well located, making it a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area and travelling to Chicago. Its proximity to public transport was a definite advantage, making it easier to get around without relying entirely on private transportation. I appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the comfortable, practical accommodation. The overall experience was good, and the location offered convenience for both daily activities and travel around the area. The staff and facilities contributed to a satisfactory stay, making the motel a practical choice for visitors looking for affordable accommodation in the Arlington Heights area. I also loved the proximity to the Meijer Supermarket where you could easily get either cold or hot food. If you want to stretch a bit, it is only 7 - 10 minutes walk to go and get your meals there. There are also other eateries near Meijer. Make sure you get the 7-Day Ventra Pass so you can easily move around Chicago by train and Pace Bus. Actually, the Motel 6 is directly opposite the Pace Bus Headquarters. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this motel to travellers looking for clean, conveniently located and reasonably priced accommodation with good access to public transport. With a few small improvements to the morning refreshments, the experience could be even better.

One area that could be improved is the morning tea and coffee service. While having tea and coffee available is appreciated, the experience would be much better if some light accompaniments, such as biscuits, pastries, or other simple snacks, were provided to enjoy alongside the drinks.

Quality for money is good. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. We had a fridge and a microwave and the room was a decent sized so it wasn’t cramped

Walls are thin… so you can truly hear everything. If your window is open you can DEFINITELY hear everything (iykwim). If you want to stay in the suburbs of chicago, it’s good but if you want to spend ur time in downtown chicago- not so much. There’s a bus stop right outside and a 30min bus takes you to O’hare Train station. 5$ travel card worth getting.

Clean but felt empty

Bed felt flimsy and pillows were flat

Close by restaurants and retail stores

Cleanliness needs to be worked on, found a hair ball on the ground, bathroom mirror had a big crack, and the floor was never mopped or swept.
