SureStay Hotel by Best Western Castlegar

When I booked the room I foolishly failed to book a ground floor room. When we arrived, our room was on the second floor and my husband wasn't able to get up the stairs and all the ground floor rooms were booked. But we went for supper and went back to the hotel, and one of the ground floor bookings had been cancelled and the staff moved us to that room at no extra cost. Much appreciated. We were there for a medical appointment and the hotel was close to where we had to go. The room was good, bed was excellent, breakfast was better than I have seen in ages.

I'm going to really age myself now - but the toilet was awfully low.

Check in was super easy and smooth. Breakfast was pretty good - toast, scrambled eggs, juices, coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt. I appreciate the variety. The room we were given was right next to a public door and we were informed of it. It turned out not to be a problem at all. The beds were very comfortable and we were able to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful.

Plenty of parking & close to everything

The bathroom wasn’t very clean, shower leaked out onto the floor, no body wash, and a squeaky fan.

It was close to the things we were doing and the bed was so comfortable!

Needs updating particularly the carpet!
