Baldachin Inn

Only hotel in merrickville close to everything

Lots of stairs

everything fine!

We didn't have breakfast at the Inn but the local cafes were great. The Inn's dining room and bar were beautiful however..

Adjoining rooms with our travel companies were too dissimilar to be charged at the same rate. Room 9 was somewhat spacious with room for a bureau chairs, self contained bathroom.. room to move around .. our room 8 was probably a third less space.. literally nowhere to put luggage, unable to pass each other around the bed, sink located outside the bathroom.. extra pillows had to go on the floor by the door at bedtime. Both rooms charged at the same rate. I should have gone back to the desk at check in to see about a different room.. aside from having asked for adjoining rooms, it would have been helpful to be offered a room with more space. The room we had was definitely not worth the rate charged..

Great location ! Very nice room.

For the price over $300 a night there was no breakfast available the main restaurant didn’t open until noon.
