The original room I was given looked onto a barren wall. It was grim. I immediately returned to the front desk and asked if a better room was available. I was pleased to be given a bright room on the top floor with a view.
The printer was low on toner. I was told it would be replaced the next morning. But it wasn't. I had to make do with faint patchy handouts for my presentation that day.

Very clean, comfortable & friendly staff
Parking is horrific! The lot at the hotel is very small so full always & the secondary lot is too far to walk when it’s night & feel safe.

Some staff very helpful. Closet with 12 hangers, half with hooks. Two large drawers. Enough electric plugs. Microwave, Refrigerator, safety deposit box (one of only two hotels I stayed in that had safety deposit box). Adequate electric plugs. Clean modern bathroom. Enough lights. Coffee maker, Fairly good location though biggest supermarket (Safeway) about 1/2 hour walk away. Shoppers Drug Mart about 8 minutes away. Victoria Laundromat, 735 Victoria, which helpful Receptionist helped me with, about 15 minute walk away (Come Clean Laundromat which allegedly is on 2035C Osler does not exist).. #1 Broad Street bus which stops on Broad Street very close to hotel goes to Government House. About 20 minute walk to Royal Saskatchewan Museum. Computer in lobby with Internet connection could use. Thought did not have body lotion but realized when checking out, they had small bottles in reception.
Some noise from garbage truck or maybe delivery truck in morning. Only chair (in room with 2 double or queen beds) a desk chair on wheels. Could not get ice from ice machines. Receptionist said to try again. Wrong answer. Right answer is don't put ice bucket down but hold in air beneath ice spout. Still did not seem to give much ice. Did have heat but up to maximum of 24 C which could be not quite enough on cold rainy spring day.

We did not eat at the hotel. We went across to the Hilton that offered a buffet and lovely atmosphere. The next day we went to OEB.
Disliked · We had a king room and is was adequate. It was difficult getting into the mini fridge. Again, upon arrival Carter told us our room had no view and was on the darker side for that reason. We gave it a look see. He was right. It was very dismal. He was able to move my 94 year old mother but to another floor and she preferred to stay by us. If you are going to offer rooms such as the ones we were in please keep the windows clean. And rooms with no view or an obstructed view should not be the same price as those that are bright and cheerful.
