A really good room, lovely breakfast, great atmosphere in the pub.
I paid extra for a pet stay in advance. On arrival there were two issues. Firstly the room was not pet friendly and secondly I had to pay again (£15) for my dog. My booking on the App says pet stay included as an extra. I appreciate that there are ongoing issues between the hotel and booking.com but it was annoying to have to pay for a pet stay twice. Such a shame as in other respects it’s a very good place to stay.

Rooms were good and staff friendly. Popular bar in the evening.
Menu was very basic and limited. At breakfast there was no cereal, toast or fruit. The only options were cooked breakfasts. You are not even allowed into the bar/breakfast area before 8am. The door was locked from the staircase. If you wanted outside you had to go out via a fire door. . As long distance hikers we were keen to get going early.
I had booked a twin room and the king with sofa bed for our group of 4 women. We actually got a double as the hotel had given away the twin after my booking ( through Booking.com)
