A charming golden-stone cottage for 7 people, in the heart of the Beaujolais region! Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend or a getaway with friends, a family vacation, a wine and food tour, or an active outdoor adventure, this cottage is an excellent starting point for exploring the Beaujolais region. A charming, carefully renovated home, less than 1 km from the town center of Bois d’Oingt and close to the historic village of Oingt (4 km). As soon as you arrive, you’ll be charmed by the character of this historic home: golden stone walls, exposed beams, and carefully preserved original features blend harmoniously with a high-quality contemporary renovation. The owners have paid special attention to comfort: very comfortable bedding, excellent thermal insulation, thoughtfully designed lighting, and centrally controlled blinds on all windows. Geothermal heating ensures a pleasant temperature year-round. On the first floor, you’ll find a cozy living area with a kitchenette, dining space, and a warm living room (featuring a sofa bed for two as an extra sleeping option) complete with a wood-burning stove, foosball table, and board games… A ground-floor bedroom with one double bed also comfortably accommodates guests who prefer to avoid stairs. It opens onto a bathroom with a toilet, which is also accessible from the hallway. There is a laundry room and a separate toilet. Upstairs, two bedrooms can accommodate up to 5 people: one bedroom with 2 single beds that can be pushed together to form a double bed; and a family bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Bathroom and toilet. Linens provided, utilities included, and firewood provided: all you have to do is unpack your bags and enjoy your stay. This trip will also be an opportunity to explore the Beaujolais vineyards. Pierre-Jean, a winemaker, can arrange a wine testing for you. A wine cellar is available in the cottage, so you can continue exploring the terroirs and appellations of the Beaujolais region at your own pace. Nadia, for her part, will welcome you with warmth and care. Both of them are committed to helping you discover their region and making your stay enjoyable. Less than 1 km away, you’ll find the Bois d’Oingt, and a little further on, Oingt—one of the iconic villages of the Pierres Dorées—with its narrow streets, historic sites, and vineyard landscapes. From the guesthouse, enjoy walks and hikes in the Pierres Dorées, explore charming villages, visit wineries and participate in tastings, savor local cuisine, engage in sports activities, or simply enjoy a relaxing weekend. Events include the Street Organ Festival, Christmas nativity scenes, watercolor exhibitions, and numerous cultural and festive events. Upon request, you can reserve the ground-floor room with private bathroom for two people for a short stay in our bed-and-breakfast.
