Thanksgiving weekend on St. Charles Avenue. This 1-bedroom suite at Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza sleeps four, with a queen bed in the separate bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, one bathroom, and a kitchenette with a dining area.
The St. Charles streetcar stops right outside, giving you an easy ride downtown to the Caesars Superdome for the Bayou Classic weekend events, the Battle of the Bands on Friday night and the Southern vs. Grambling game on Saturday, plus the French Quarter, the Garden District, and Magazine Street nearby.
At the resort: outdoor courtyard pool and hot tub, rooftop sun deck and terrace, fitness center, laundry facilities, concierge, free Wi-Fi, and an on-site restaurant and lounge. The kitchenette includes a full-size refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, cookware, and place settings.
Good to know: Check-in is at the resort front desk from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. The lead guest must be 21 or older with photo ID, and the resort requires a credit card for a $250 security deposit hold at check-in - that hold is the resort's, not a charge from the host. Valet parking is available from the resort at $50.85 per night for guests (owner rate is lower); there is no self-parking on site, and limited street parking is nearby.
