About this house rental
This home, located behind the gates of Rumbling Bald Resort, is ideal for family reunions and just a short 3/10-mile walk to amenities. It features a built-in Tesla charger for electric Tesla owners. There are 5 bedrooms plus a 6th room with a sleeper sofa, each bedroom boasting a King bed, with two bedrooms also including a Queen bed. The home offers 4 full baths and one half bath, with the master bath recently remodeled. On the main floor, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths—two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom, while the primary has its own bath. The lower level has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Though the home sleeps 16, there are only 10 pool passes, but children under 12 don’t need one. Passes are required for pool and gym use, but this is rarely an issue unless everyone visits at once. Gathering spaces include a main living room, a second living room on the lower walkout level, a theatre/game room, a sun deck, and a screened porch. There is ample parking, and two gas fireplaces should only be used in emergencies. Golf carts can be rented through the Resort via the Bald Mountain Golf Course. No motorcycles or RVs are allowed per resort rules, and please notify if bringing any type of trailer before booking.

Home comfortably handled our group of 14, ages 3-82. Very well equipped kitchen allowed us to handle meals in, with a long dining table we could all sit around for group meals. which added to the relaxation. Property manager was very responsive to the minor issues we encountered.

We rented this house for my Granddaughter wedding weekend. I could have not chosen a better home. Sixteen people stayed in house, with other family member in and out. We never felt like there were that many people in the house. So many different area in inside and out that no one felt they couldn’t have a space to themselves to chill out. Beds were great. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a large group. Manager was great to work with and answered every question we had before we arrived. We arrived with peace of mind and ready to enjoy a wonderful weekend. Looking forward to coming back to the house and beautiful Lake Lure

We took advantage of the many amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort. We started the days at the beach, which was great - has a large shallow area with sandy bottom. The pool has variety for all ages and is well kept. The lazy River with tubes was enjoyable for all ages. We had several ventures to mini golf & 1 group enjoyed playing the challenges of the Rumbling Bald golf course. We rented a golf cart for the week, which was helpful in shuttling our grandchildren (& grandparents!) to the amenities. The distance was a short walk, but with some incline. We used both driveways at the house for parking (we had 5 vehicles) and were a little shocked at the steep driveways, but managed to navigate them. We heeded the bear warnings by keeping the garage door closed and hauling trash everyday. The only shortfall of the resort is that cars, people, and golf carts use the same roads to the homes. My adult children commented that separate paths / and a walking path would enhance safety. They also missed having yard space for the kids to play frisbee. But, this is a mountain type resort, so lack of flat open space is not too surprising. My husband would have wished for better access (overnight) to a kayak for fishing. The Hemlock House is spacious and well equipped. The extra freezer & refrigerator space were great! We used all of the bedrooms, and the living areas, including the screen porch. Our house manager was responsive and advised us well prior to our trip, with FAQ’s!

Great looking property, perfect for accommodating large groups. The fire pit was a hit. First floor access for a disabled family member was a huge plus. Would do it again if we return to the area. Host took excellent care of us.
