At the entrance, the coat of arms indicating the period of construction of the house, dating back to 1700, recalls its history. Part of a larger complex, Casa Cesira was designed by the architect Ferdinando Sanfelice, in conjunction with the foundation of the Conservatory, a charitable institution desired by Bishop Antonio Sanfelice to train and introduce young women, especially the most vulnerable, to work. The adjacent church, also designed by Sanfelice, was completed in 1722, with the dedication ceremony celebrated by the bishop.
