My stay at Unique Guesthouse was very comfortable
Latif, the overnight staff, is very friendly and welcoming, and Doha, the owner was extremely welcoming and accommodating. I would definitely choose to stay here again. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Doha is an excellent host
The reason I can’t give 10 is because I booked Dar Nagham, and it took me almost three hours to locate it. The reason is because it is not called Dar Nagham outside the riad, it is called Unique Guesthouse.
There is no signage for Dar Nagham anywhere. This was a big problem for me, an elderly, single woman roaming the Medina alone at night with not a clue where I was. I made many attempts to contact the property, starting with the taxi I booked, not arriving at the airport, then not being able to find the riad, but all messages were unanswered.
That said, Doha was very apologetic and did everything she could to rectify my displeasure, including inviting me to dinner at her local cafe, and she is DEFINITELY a great host.
